Appaloosas

Hello equestrians of the world!  The Appaloosa breed will be today's focus.  Much like Paints, they were prized for their camouflage markings by Native Americans.  You can tell Appaloosas apart from Paints by their key characteristics.

     Skin
   The skin of this horse breed is mottled.  This feature is ecspecially distinct around the nostrils of the horse.

     Eyes
   Appaloosas have a clearly visible white sclera.  With most horse breeds, the white sclera is only easily visible when the horse is rolling it's eyes.  If it is, then stay away.  The horse is probably spooked.

     Hooves
This breed features vertically striped hooves.  The stripes can be lighter or darker brown.

Morgan Horses

Hello fellow equestrians!  As I mentioned earlier, I will do a blog post every Friday.  This week's post will be about Morgan horses.  They are good at dressage, driving, and they have an upbeat personality.      Dressage    This form of competitive riding is often called "horse ballet" when the horses perform tricks to of the best form to win.  Morgan horses are very graceful and do well with this type of riding.      Driving    Driving is an equine creature pulling a horse drawn vehicle.  Morgan horses are exceptional at pulling carriages because of their strength, agility, and style.      Personality    Morgan horses have a reputation for their courage and intelligence.  No wonder they were one of the first working horse breeds in the United States!    I hope you liked this post!  The next post will be about Paint horses. Quarter Horses

   Hello fellow equestrians!  Today I will teach you about Quater Horses.  They are an amazing breed with spectacular speed, strength, and devotion.      Speed   Quartet Horses are the fastest breed in the world when it comes to short distance sprints.  They even surpass the famous Thoroughbred when it comes to quickness.  Their top speed is 10 to 20 mph.      Brawn    This breed is known for their great strength.  Quater Horses weight averages to about 1,000 pounds. They are one solid mount!      Devotion    Quarter Horses are a very dependable breed.  In my years of experience, I have seen for myself their willingness to listen to their owner and trust them with all they've got.  One of my close friends owns two of them.  They are very affectionate  to her and me, and they don't know me that well!
